Paul Wozniak
Managing Director; CFO and COO
Paul oversees all of SCM’s finance and operations functions. Paul has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining SCM, Paul was Vice President, Compliance at Montgomery Asset Management. Prior to Montgomery, Paul was Chief Financial & Chief Operating Officer for both meVC.com and the meVC Draper, Fisher, Jurvetson Fund I (MVC) a NYSE listed Business Development Company. Paul also spent 14 years at GT Management PLC working in various roles related to international investments. Paul received a B.S. in accounting from the University of Scranton.
Mark Kashima
Operations Manager
Mark manages the operational activities related to distribution management. He oversees performance measurement, trade verification, reconciliation, and compliance. Prior to joining SCM in 1996, Mark was a banking specialist with IER, an independent information processing company specializing in IRA services. He received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
David Webster
Systems Manager
Dave is responsible for the firm’s systems support, including network administration and management of various SCM database applications, and the portfolio accounting system. He also prepares financial analysis, maintains listings of portfolio company IPOs and assists the Private Equity Department, where he started as Associate. Prior to SCM, Dave was an Operations Specialist II in the Employee Stock Options department of Charles Schwab & Co. Dave earned his B.S. in Finance and Economics from Santa Clara University.
Karyn White
Controller
Karyn is responsible for all accounting and financial matters for the firm. Prior to joining SCM, Karyn was a Financial Principal and Compliance Consultant to various small broker dealer and investment advisory firms. Previously, she was an accountant with Spicer & Oppenheim, CPSs, and a Senior Examiner with the NASD. Karyn is a CPA with the State of California and holds a Series 27 securities license (Financial and Operations Principal). She received her B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley in business administration.
