Glen
Holland, CFA
Managing Director
Glen is responsible for private equity investment
strategy, partnership selection and portfolio management. Prior
to joining SCM in 2002, he spent four years at BancBoston Capital Inc.,
as Director and Fund Manager for a family of private equity funds of
funds, which included venture capital, buyout and international private
equity investments. Glen also spent six years at Commonfund where
he was responsible for manager selection and portfolio management with
an emphasis on venture capital fund investments. He began his
career trading listed equity and equity index options and futures.
Glen received a B.S. in Finance from Georgetown University.
Maia Heymann
Managing Director
Maia is responsible for private equity investment strategy, partnership selection,
and portfolio management. Prior to joining Shott in 2010, she spent almost 20 years at
the banks that ultimately became Bank of America. From 1993 through 2008 Maia was involved in
corporate finance, private equity, and venture capital pursuits, having started as a technology
lender providing financing solutions for corporate growth, acquisition, and LBO transactions.
In 1999 she opened the Palo Alto, CA office for BancBoston Ventures, the venture capital subsidiary
of Bank of Boston, where she developed the strategy, built the team, and invested in start-ups
and venture capital funds. She also worked with BancBoston Capital’s Fund of Funds Manager to
source and diligence commitments to venture capital funds. In 2002 Maia moved back to Boston,
MA to eventually head BancBoston Ventures within Bank of America's global private equity group
and managed a direct portfolio until 2008. Maia also served on the investment committee for the legacy
BancBoston Capital family of private equity funds of funds, which included venture capital,
buyout, and international private equity commitments. During 2009 and 2010, Maia made
personal venture capital investments, and sits on the boards of Apperian, Fisku, and CommonAngels, where she
serves as Chairman of the Board. From 1989 to 1992 Maia worked in
the Internal Audit department of Bank of Boston Corporation where she led risk-assessment audits.
In 1992 she also completed the Bank’s Loan Office Development Program. Maia received a B.A.,
magna cum laude, from Wellesley College and was elected into Phi Beta Kappa.
Molly
LeStage
Director
Molly joined SCM in 2005 and is responsible for private
equity portfolio management, due diligence, financial modeling and
portfolio analytics. From 1998 to 2005, Molly was with Fleet Fund
Investors (“FFI”), the private equity fund team of Fleet
Financial Group (“Fleet”). As Vice President of FFI, Molly
managed a large portfolio of private equity fund investments, led due
diligence processes on new commitments, and oversaw an administrative
staff. Prior to FFI, Molly worked for five years in Fleet’s
Private Banking and Corporate Credit Administration departments and
completed Fleet’s Loan Officer Development Program. Molly
received a B.S. degree from St. Lawrence University with a double major
in Economics and Psychology and received an M.A. in Psychology from
Rhode Island College.
Matthew Roy
Associate
Matt is responsible for analyzing fund offering
memoranda, assisting in the due diligence process and providing support
to the private equity investment team. Matt graduated from Tufts
University with a B.A. in Economics.
James Spellman
Analyst
James is responsible for analyzing fund offering memoranda, assisting in the due
diligence process and providing support to the private equity investment team. Prior to joining
Shott, James was an analyst with the Monitor Group. James earned a B.S. in Finance from Bentley
University.
